Gut microbiota is associated with spatial memory and seed-hoarding behavior of South China field mice (Apodemus draco)

چکیده
Background Scatter-hoarding animals store food in multiple locations within their home range and rely on spatial memory for subsequent localization retrieval. The relationship between scatter-hoarding behavior has been widely demonstrated, but the association of gut microbiota with seed-hoarding remains unclear. Methods In this study, by using enclosure tests, tests including an object location test (OLT) a novel recognition (NORT), fecal transplantation (FMT) experiment, we evaluated role affecting rodents. According to intensity, South China field mice ( Apodemus draco ) were divided into group (SG) non-scatter-hoarding (NG). Results We found that SG performed better than NG NORT. FMT from donor altered recipient mice’s structure. Further demonstrated increased laboratory seed larder hoarding intensity enclosures. Conclusion Our results suggest could modulate animals.

Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis Is Associated with Inflammation and Bacterial Translocation in Mice with CCl4-Induced Fibrosis
BACKGROUND Gut is the major source of endogenous bacteria causing infections in advanced cirrhosis. Intestinal barrier dysfunction has been described in cirrhosis and account for an increased bacterial translocation rate. HYPOTHESIS AND AIMS We hypothesize that microbiota composition may be affected and change along with the induction of experimental cirrhosis, affecting the inflammatory resp...
متن کاملTRIM31 Deficiency Is Associated with Impaired Glucose Metabolism and Disrupted Gut Microbiota in Mice
Tripartite motif-containing protein 31 (TRIM31), an E3 ubiquitin ligase of the tripartite motif family, plays an important role in the innate immune response. It can reduce the activity of the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor (NLR) family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome. However, little information is about glucose metabolic health of TRIM31-deficient mice,...
متن کاملPhylogeography of the South China Field Mouse (Apodemus draco) on the Southeastern Tibetan Plateau Reveals High Genetic Diversity and Glacial Refugia
The southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau (SEMTP) is a particularly interesting region due to its topographic complexity and unique geologic history, but phylogeographic studies that focus on this region are rare. In this study, we investigated the phylogeography of the South China field mouse, Apodemus draco, in order to assess the role of geologic and climatic events on the Tibetan Plate...
متن کاملDoes scatter‐hoarding of seeds benefit cache owners or pilferers?
The scatter-hoarding behavior of granivorous rodents plays an important role in seed dispersal and seedling regeneration of trees, as well as the evolution of several well-known mutualisms between trees and rodents in forest ecosystems. Because it is difficult to identify seed hoarders and pilferers under field conditions by traditional methods, the full costs incurred and benefits accrued by s...
